Target Market Determinations
A Target Market Determination (TMD) is a document that describes the type of member a financial product has been designed for, based on their likely objectives, financial situation and needs.
A TMD also outlines any conditions or restrictions on how a product can be distributed and the circumstances that may require the TMD to be reviewed.
Why do we have Target Market Determinations?
Transport Mutual Credit Union is required to prepare Target Market Determinations as part of the Design and Distribution Obligations under the Corporations Act 2001.
These obligations are designed to help ensure financial products are designed and distributed with members' needs at the centre.
